PROJECT OVERVIEW
Simon India Limited proposes to design, engineer, procure, construct, and commission a new 3,000 MTPD Sulphuric Acid Plant based on the Double Contact Double Absorption (DCDA) process at the existing complex of Paradeep Phosphates Limited, Paradeep, Odisha.
The plant shall produce 99.7% concentration H₂SO₄ using bright yellow elemental sulphur as feedstock. The process incorporates a 3+2 converter configuration with inter-pass absorption for maximum SO₂ conversion efficiency exceeding 99.7%.
The facility includes integrated steam generation through waste heat recovery, producing high-pressure steam at 62 kg/cm² and medium-pressure steam at 18 kg/cm², which can be used for captive power generation via a turbine generator set.
