12.3 Layout Design Considerations
Overall plot dimensions: approximately 250m x 180m (~45,000 m² / 11 acres)
Orientation: Prevailing wind from South-East — stack and cooling tower located downwind (NW corner)
Minimum spacing per OISD-118 and IS 3786 for acid plant equipment
Fire water ring main around entire plot perimeter with hydrants at 30m intervals
Separate bunded areas for acid storage (110% containment) and sulphur storage
Control room located upwind, minimum 15m from process equipment
Two emergency assembly points at opposite corners of the plot
Rail siding / truck loading bay adjacent to acid storage area
Future expansion space reserved on the eastern side of the plot
